Richard Devlin Joins PRI

Richard Devlin

West Babylon, NY – Power Resources International is excited to announce that Richard Devlin has joined our Communications Engineering Team as an RF Engineering Consultant. Devlin brings with him almost 40 years of experience specializing in wireless and two-way radio communications.

Prior to PRI, Devlin spent 10 years with New York City Transit (2008-2018), where he worked on a wide variety of RF and wireless engineering projects. Prior to NYCT, he was a supervisor of radio and TV operations with NYC DoITT (1998-2008). Throughout his career, Devlin was involved in various large-scale communication projects, which include inspecting existing communication systems including SONET/ATM and VHF radio systems, upgrading the city-wide bus 800Mhz trunked radio system, and the NYCT PA/CIS system. He has experience planning and installing UHF incident radio systems, programming radios that operate on the DoITT 800Mhz Smart Zone radio system, maintaining portable radio inventory, troubleshooting radio tie lines, and repairing fiberoptic TX/RX shelves.

Devlin’s formal education includes courses in mechanical technology at Staten Island Community College, the V-7 Program at Technical Career Institutes, as well as courses in electrical and computer technology at College of Staten Island. He also holds an FCC Amateur Radio License, Technician Class, as well as an FCC Commercial General Radiotelephone License.
