Deer Park PCR Installation

PRI was on hand to supervise the installation of a brand new Power Control Room, which will contain the new Motor Generator System as a part of the LIRR Contract #6305: Main Line 2nd Track MG Replacement.  The Motor Generator will be used to power the Signal System along the brand new 2nd Line Track. The hut traveled on flatbed all the way from Ohio and across the GWB to make its final home at Deer Park Station.

This is the second new PCR installed by PRI as a part of this contract.  The first PCR was installed at Ronkonkoma Station a few months previous, and is already on-line and fully functional.  Now that the Enclosure is set in place at Deer Park, installation of the brand new Motor Generator System will soon begin at the LIRR Station.

Once the substations are complete and commissioned, this will help to increase the number of trains going between Long Island and Penn Station. By helping to provide more access within Long Island, PRI is committed to providing growth and development to our neighbors here on Long Island and beyond.
