PRI Delivers Final MG System for Port Jefferson Line Project
West Babylon, NY – PRI has built and delivered its final motor generator (MG) system required for the Long Island Rail Road’s (LIRR) Port Jefferson Line MG Replacement project. The MG system, which was sent to Port Jefferson station, will be wired and ready for load bank testing in roughly four weeks.
PRI’s scope for this LIRR project was to design and build three MG systems for the Greenlawn, Smithtown, and Port Jefferson stations. The systems for Greenlawn and Smithtown have already been delivered, installed and commissioned, and are now supplying power to the LIRR Port Jefferson branch.
